Chess Tournament for Kids

The Chattanooga Chess Dojo's first tournament, The September Spectacle, will be hosted September 19th!

Cost is $27 per player.

Rules begin at 8:40 and the first round begins promptly at 9 a.m.

This tournament will be held at Living Hope Church at 2268 Encompass Dr. Chattanooga, TN.

This tournament will feature 2 divisions for players.
These divisions are:
Primary: Grades K-3 Ages 5-9
Youth: Grades 4-8 Ages 9-14

Grade Levels are determined by the student's age as of 8/15/2026 in accordance to age rules of TN Public Schools.

Please be aware this is a touch move tournament - if a player touches a piece they have to move it!

This tournament will feature 4 rounds of play with 35/0 time controls.

Prizes are awarded to the top 5 finishers of each division.

This is not a USCF or FIDE event so player's do NOT need a FIDE/USCF Membership to compete.

This tournament is limited to 48 total players so sign up quickly to get your spot!
