Our parent child chess classes are a great way for both parents and their children to learn the game of chess and ensure the children aren’t the only ones getting checkmate at home!
All classes include a workbook and bandana for each class participant and includes participation in The Chalice Grand Prix!

Our Saturday Chess Club is a great way to make friends with a good helping of competitive play! Saturday Club features 1 "Sanctioned Miniature" game, puzzles mini blitz tournaments and includes 2 Club Tournaments!
Club membership includes a bandana for each participant and automatically enters into our competitive chess league, The Chalice Grand Prix!
Please note, Family Chess Club memberships do NOT allow parents to leave their children at Saturday Club unattended.
The Chattanooga Chess Dojo Saturday chess club is NOT your average chess club!
People that purchase a seat in our Saturday chess club receive a workbook and bandana. Each club date involves two 20-minute lessons, league play games as well as a 40-minute block helping club participants work on their workbooks to get closer to their next bandana promotion!
Each league play game is tracked for both qualifying points and grand prix points in the Chalice Grand Prix and is conducted in silent tournament like conditions!
Not only are students able to utilize these learning concepts over live games, working through our workbooks have helped many students increase their comprehension of critical middle gameand endgame skills which are essential to chess success!

These classes are for kids ages 5-14 in grades K-8 and are an excellent way for children to improve their chess game. Parents may drop their children off for these classes.
